• Members of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit [BCIU] Student Forum filed into Neshaminy High School’s library, eager to speak with Deputy Director David Mineta of the office of National Drug Control Policy. Prior to the live videoconference, the students formulated questions to be asked during the conference, no time was wasted. A student from each school district introduced representatives from his or her respective schools. After the formal introductions, Deputy Director Mineta informed the students of the harmful effects of drugs on youth throughout the nation and the importance of prevention and avoiding exposure to drugs before these drugs take their toll. Stimulated students posed their questions to Deputy Director Mineta. The positive interaction and exchange of valuable information ended the meeting on a high note. The forum came to a close as Director Deputy Mineta thanked the students for their active participation in a large-scale effort to better their communities, and reminded the students, “You are not the leaders of tomorrow, you are the leaders of right now.
