Regardless of the grade level and content that you teach there are some challenges common to all of us. In this session Richard will discuss those challenges and take a look at tools and strategies for addressing them.

Richard Byrne is a US History and Civics teacher at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in South Paris, Maine.  He has also taught courses in global studies and English/Language Arts.  Richard believes that when used correctly, technology has the power to improve student engagement and student achievement.  Richard is a Google Certified Teacher and he writes the award-winning blog Free Technology for Teachers.  In 2010, Free Technology for Teachers was awarded the Edublogs Awards for “Best Resource Sharing Blog,” “Best Ed Tech Support,” and “Best Individual Blog.”  Free Technology for Teachers is read by an audience of more than 36,000 daily subscribers.  Some other quick notes about Richard:
