I graduated as a Speech Pathologist/Audiologist from East Stroudsburg State College in 1981. After working with multi-handicapped adults for a short time, I furthered my education with a MS as a Teacher of the Hearing Impaired from Bloomsburg State College in 1982. I came to work for the BCIU in the Fall of 1983 where I worked with School-aged children in Upper Bucks until I became a mom. During my nineteen year maternity leave I pursued a degree in Registered Nursing so that I could continue to stay at home. It was during this time that I was able to work part-time as a nurse in a hospital, Dr.'s office and school settings. Because of my state teaching certification, I was also able to substitute teach in private schools preschool through high school. I came back to the BCIU over three years ago and am greatly enjoying my Speech work with preschool children. More to come....
