Mikalya's Voice - Letter to Principals / Book Covers
Elementary Principals in Bucks County received the book Our Friend Mikayla last spring with the letter asking for support from Mikayla's mother, Kim Resh.  Kim's hope is that parents and Right To Education Task Force members will go into the schools to read the book to the Kindergarten thru 3rd grade children.
Mikayla was born with a brain injury resulting in profound multiple disabilities, and has never spoken a word. Her mother engaged Mikayla's teacher and classmates to write and illustrate this delightfully true story of how the children in her classroom helped Mikayla have a voice and be included in every aspect of the school experience.  
We hope this story will inspire the students, teachers, principals, staff, and parents of Bucks County schools to share the message of inclusion.
