Program & Registration InformationThe courses outlined throughout this website are coordinated by the Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22, in cooperation with the Bucks County Continuing Professional Education Advisory Council, local school districts and area universities. These educational offerings are designed to provide ongoing, job-embedded, and results-oriented professional learning experiences. Although these courses are open to all school personnel in Bucks County, all participants are advised to inform their supervisor if interested in attending an event. Several types of courses are offered each semester through the Bucks County Continuing Professional Education Advisory Council: CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION (C.P.E.) COURSES meet specific requirements for approval set forth by the Bucks County Continuing Professional Education Advisory Council and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. One C.P.E. Credit will be awarded to participants by PDE for each fifteen hours of instruction and for successful attainment of competencies. We expect all participants to comply with PDE's policy of 100% attendance for full credit . Pre-registration through BCIU #22 is required. C.P.E. Credits may be used to satisfy requirements for the Instructional Level II Certificate or the Master"s Equivalency Certificate. Completion letters will be provided free-of-charge following successful course completion; however, a $3.00 transcript fee will be charged for each additional copy. GRADUATE COURSES are provided by colleges and universities in our local area. These courses have a tuition charge and credits are offered by the college or university providing the course. Although pre-registration is recommended and registration is handled directly through the college or university, registrations are generally accepted until the day classes begin. Minimum numbers for attendance in each course are required. CONFERENCES/WORKSHOPS are professional learning experiences for Act 48 hours. They have been organized by Intermediate Unit staff and developed to provide professional growth opportunities for all personnel in Bucks County.
