Decades of research shows that students who read more read better. They develop richer vocabularies and achieve higher levels of reading and writing development. Reading is the heart of every day's curriculum and integrated into all learning experiences.

You play an important role in developing your youngster's life long love of reading. Each night 15 minutes of reading will be expected to occur at home. This can mean somebody reading with them or your child can read independently. Help youngsters to pick "just-right" books. This means most words can be read and there is a basic understanding of the story or information presented. Classroom library books will be available for borrowing.
