PENN DATA PennData is a count of special education students who have an IEP and are being served on December 1. Bucks County school districts submit their data to the Bucks County Intermediate Unit who reviews the data for errors and then submits it to PDE. Based on this information IDEA funding is provided. the special education students we serve.
Districts report this information to PDE to receive a basic education

Institutionalized Children's Programs/Institutions/Group Homes For students living in an institution or group home and being educated by the I.U., a District of Determination of Residence Form (PDE 4605) is sent to the home district of the student for acknowledgement. Some of the institutions and group home's are as follows: MCC Warwick House, Ridgecrest, Cambridge of Pt. Pleasant, Foundations, Pedi Manor. Partial Hospitalization Program There are students who attend the Partial Hospital Program at Foundations of Behavioral Health that the I.U. educates while they are admitted. An Acknowledgement Form is sent to the home district informing them of the educational services that are being provided to their student by the I.U. for one hour a day for partial hospitalization. A form is sent that is attached to the partial hospitalization letter asking for the home district's homebound rate for billing purposes. Districts are charged their homebound rate for the service provided. Juveniles Incarcerated/Detention Center Students who are at the Detention Center or Prison are educated by the I.U. School districts are required to take the student off their role when a student has entered either of these facilities. A District of Determination of Residence Form (PDE 4605) is sent to the home district of the student requesting their acknowledgement, and advising them to take the student off their role.
